This Tradewell at Morgan Junction (Fauntleroy, Morgan and California) opened in December 1955. The tax assessor's photo dates from March 26, 1956.
Although it included contemporary grocery technology, this was one of the last buildings before Tradewell hired Welton Becket, resulting in the 1956 Crown Hill store and then award-winning Burien store. I just might talk about this on May 20 at 2pm at High Point Library as bart of the Southwest Seattle Historical Society series SouthWest Stories. www.loghousemuseum.info/events/southweststories/
