This is 7th in a series of posts sharing the photos my grandfather took in 1969 on a business trip to Moscow. For full context, read the start of part 1.
This post includes photos of the All-Russia Exhibition Center (VDNKh) and Archangelskoe.
All-Russia Exhibition Centre and other Sights
Thanks to Flickr user mixtara, we know that this artwork was within the Atomic Energy Pavilion at the Exhibition of the Achievements of the People’s Economy (VDNKh).
I’d like to know the name of the artwork, artist, and why there were historic photos below.

– Looks like mosaic or stained glass tiles—doesn’t it seem backlit?

Restaurant Archangelskoe, “Ресторан Архангельское” or Arkhangelskoe foreigners cantina.
International Electrotechnical Commission conference attendees are sitting at the next couple of tables at Restaurant Archangelskoe “Ресторан Архангельское”.
I believe I have identified Louis Costrell in the image. He sits facing us middle distance in center of frame, leaning over bottles. He was part of the US delegation to IEC, and was founder of TC45.
Thanks to Flickr user mixtara for identifying the building. This is on the estate of Arkhangelskoe (Aрхангельское) as I suspected.
